Styling

A core styling kit includes a heat protectant, a leave-in conditioner or mousse for shape, a cream or gel for hold, and a serum or oil for shine. Layer from lightest to heaviest and always finish on dry hair with a flexible-hold hairspray if needed.

Fine hair looks best with lightweight volumizing mousses, dry texture sprays, and flexible-hold hairsprays. Avoid heavy creams, butters, and oils that flatten roots. Apply products mostly to mid-lengths and ends, keeping the scalp area clean.

Start with clean, well-prepped hair, layer the right products for your texture, fully set the style with heat or air-drying, and finish with a flexible-hold hairspray. Refresh midday with dry shampoo at the roots and a light oil on the ends.
